While cleaning my basement store room to make more space for photo props yesterday, I came across an old scrapbook. It’s full of images I took with my first camera! I had so much fun looking through them I just had to share a few.

This is my brother Keith in 1967. I love that he posed for me! Oops – I guess I’m showing my age with these dates!

My friend Kimberly Rogers loved posing for my camera – if you’re out there Kim, I’ve been trying to find you! I love that my shadow is in this shot which means she was facing straight into the bright sun, & could I be any further away!

Now we jump to 1969. I obviously still needed a little work on my composition skills – I almost got my brother Keith and our new puppy Rowlf in the shot!

1971 – this was the year I took photography in 4-H and actually learned a little bit about what I was doing. Notice the way mom is holding her purse – not sure if she did that or I directed it?

We had just moved to the country so there was always work to do – here’s dad taking a break from all the leaves!

And my whole family heading to the pond for fishing and a swim. Not sure dad was enjoying me constantly stopping him for pictures.

Of course, our pony Bill was always along – he loved to nudge people and push them into the pond.

Well that’s my trip down memory lane for the day, now back to editing!

I think it is so neat to see that you had a passion for photography many years ago and look where you are now! Many people never have the time energy or drive to go after their dreams!

I love these. I’ll be checking for more.

I just finished a few new storyboards. These make great canvas wraps or metal prints that are ready to hang without searching for the perfect frame.  You can see more samples on my website under portfolios/artwork & creative.

A beautiful day, a couple of cute little dancers, and a trip to the zoo – it doesn’t get any better! A little tip for anyone planning a weekend trip to the zoo – do not take the Hampton exit! It took me almost an hour from the exit off 40 until I was able to park. But, it was all worth it – thanks girls!

I love spring! It’s amazing how everything seems to change so quickly from drab to lush greenery and colorful flowers. This precious little girl fit perfectly into the beautiful flowers of spring.

A few of my favorite shots from a recent session with Shelby Steingraeber, the Miss Gateway St. Louis Outstanding Teen 2010.  Not only is Shelby a beautiful girl on the outside, but on the inside as well. It was such a pleasure to work with such a sweet and gracious girl! Good luck to Shelby as she moves on to compete in the state pageant in June.

Congratulations to Alexandra Milakis for winning the Photogenic Award at Starpower Talent Competition with one of the images we took at her dance shoot last fall. Can’t wait for our next shoot – let’s hope for a warmer day!
