While cleaning my basement store room to make more space for photo props yesterday, I came across an old scrapbook. It’s full of images I took with my first camera! I had so much fun looking through them I just had to share a few.

This is my brother Keith in 1967. I love that he posed for me! Oops – I guess I’m showing my age with these dates!

My friend Kimberly Rogers loved posing for my camera – if you’re out there Kim, I’ve been trying to find you! I love that my shadow is in this shot which means she was facing straight into the bright sun, & could I be any further away!

Now we jump to 1969. I obviously still needed a little work on my composition skills – I almost got my brother Keith and our new puppy Rowlf in the shot!

1971 – this was the year I took photography in 4-H and actually learned a little bit about what I was doing. Notice the way mom is holding her purse – not sure if she did that or I directed it?

We had just moved to the country so there was always work to do – here’s dad taking a break from all the leaves!

And my whole family heading to the pond for fishing and a swim. Not sure dad was enjoying me constantly stopping him for pictures.

Of course, our pony Bill was always along – he loved to nudge people and push them into the pond.

Well that’s my trip down memory lane for the day, now back to editing!

I think it is so neat to see that you had a passion for photography many years ago and look where you are now! Many people never have the time energy or drive to go after their dreams!

I love these. I’ll be checking for more.

I just finished a few new storyboards. These make great canvas wraps or metal prints that are ready to hang without searching for the perfect frame.  You can see more samples on my website under portfolios/artwork & creative.

Congratulations to Stacy & Chris on a beautiful baby girl. Mom & Dad met playing soccer  - which explains the pink soccer ball. Can’t wait for the next shoot when Bella starts holding her head up or playing soccer – whichever comes first!

Saturday morning at Oak Knoll Park with a great couple and their adorable girls – I love my job! It was fun to watch the little sister try to be just like her big sister – adorable! We got so many great shots it was hard for me to choose my favorites. Thanks Dave & Becca for sharing your family time with me!

There is nothing quite like a well loved stuffed animal. I wander what ever happened to my Panda Bear?

I am so blessed to have a job where I get to meet and spend time with so many awesome families. Here’s some of my favorites from a recent session with another beautiful family on one of the first pretty days of spring!

Kisses!

The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family.”  ~Thomas Jefferson

One of my favorite parts of photography is capturing memories of special moments shared with families, and this family was no exception. Johanna and Phillip are such an awesome couple and their boys are adorable! Thank you for allowing me to spend some time with your beautiful family!

Last week I had the chance to attend a great photography convention in Phoenix, Arizona. Besides enjoying some beautiful and warm weather, I learned so much! One of the most fun is a great new way to do videos of my photoshoots. Check out this video I did of my granddaughters.
